The Comic Strip
“antiSocially” started out as a way to get some of my inner demons out into the open, I suppose. People generally find me funny, but for the most part, I’m usually holding back because my humor tends to be somewhat dry and at times (read: a LOT of times) makes people uncomfortable. Lots of uncomfortable laughs. But you can tell when a laugh is insincere, and when a laugh is one of those, “That’s funny, but it shouldn’t be funny” kind of laughs.
I find people, particularly in big metropolitan areas, are just too fucking uptight! So afraid to offend anyone, afraid to step on toes. We’re so trigger-happy and quick to sue that merely looking at someone the wrong way will get you in trouble. “antiSocially” is my way of saying, “Hey, it’s just a fucking joke. Laughing doesn’t make it true and it doesn’t make you a bigot. If you can’t laugh at this, then the terrorists have already won.”
The Creator
Enrique Garcia was born and raised in Southern California. He draws. A lot. And doesn’t get paid much (or at all sometimes) for it. So he must be doing it out of love, right? Right?
